DOC area for reds, rosé wines and white wines in the Italian region Abruzzo, The zone includes parts of the municipalities Ancarano, Colonnella, Controguerra, Corropoli and Torano Nuovo in the province of Teramo. The Bianco is going out Trebbiano Toscano and or Trebbiano d'Abruzzo (to 50%), Passerina (to 10%) and other approved varieties (max 40%) blended. The Passito Bianco is made in any mix of Trebbiano Toscano, Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, Malvasia Bianca di Candia and Passerina (to 60%), as well as other approved varieties (up to 40%). Rosso (also as Novello and Riserva ) and Rosato are out Montepulciano (about 70%) and other approved varieties (up to 30%). The Passito Rosso is produced from Montepulciano (for 70%) and other approved varieties (maximum 30%). Both Passito wines are allowed to use "Annoso" on the label for 35 months.

The varietal wines must contain at least 85% of the respective variety, 15% may be other approved varieties. These are the white wines Chardonnay. Passerina and Pecorino, as well as the red wines Cabernet ( Cabernet Franc and or Cabernet Sauvignon ) and Merlot, Spumante Metodo Classico and Spumante Metodo Classico are made from Trebbiano Toscano and / or Trebbiano d'Abruzzo (to 60%), Chardonnay and / or Verdicchio Bianco and / or pecorino (to 30%), as well as other approved varieties (max 10%) blended.
