Conventional crop protection

Approach to plant protection involving the rigorous use of chemical plant protection products (pesticides) in the fight against pests. This is done with regular preventive spraying without checking the development of diseases and pests and without considering the negative effects on the ecosystem. This aim of total destruction of pests is no longer practised today. Today, the two environmentally friendly forms of management, integrated pest management and organic pest management, are common in viticulture. For more information on this topic, see the section on organic viticulture.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
