The cooperative winery is located in the municipality of Los Santos de Maimona (Badajoz province) in the DO Ribera del Guadiana in the Spanish region of Extremadura. It was founded in 1953 by Pedro López, initially with only olive growing. With the construction of a winery in 1969 with a capacity of 10 million litres, the production of wines was also started. Today, the vineyards cover 3,000 hectares in the Tierra de Barros sub-area, which are managed by 400 members. The wines are marketed under the appellations Batiolo, Castillo de Regiana, Marqués del Campo Espina, Pilarcaño, Regiana, Vallegarzón and Vallejuelo. Under the designation Suertes del Campo, wines are produced in Bag-in-Box containers.
