Cornarea

The red grape variety is a new breed between Barbera x Chatus (Nebbiolo di Dronero). Synonyms are Dalmasso 4-28 and Incrocio Dalmasso IV / 28. According to the year 2010 DNA analysis turned on the breed list entry Nebbiolo x Barbera as wrong. The crossing took place in 1936 in Conegliano (Veneto) by the breeder Giovanni Dalmasso (1886-1974). By the way, with the same parents the new breeds were created at the same institute Alba Rossa.
