DOC area for reds, rosé wines and white wines in the Italian region Piedmont, The name means "Shore of Sesia". The area covers nearly 30 hectares west of the Sesis River with the municipalities of Brusnengo, Candelo, Cerreto Castello, Cossato, Curino, Lessona, Masserano, Mottalciata, Quaregna, Sostegno, Valdengo, Vigliano Biellese and Villa del Bosco in the province of Biella, as well the municipalities of Gattinara, Lozzolo, Roasio and Serravalle Sesia in the province of Vercelli. If the grapes come from classified vineyards, may be with the grape varieties Vigna followed by the name of the label on the bottle label.

The varietal red wines must contain at least 85% of the respective variety, the rest may be other approved varieties. These are Croatina. Nebbiolo or Spanna and Vespolina, The wine types Rosso and Rosato are blended from Nebbiolo (to 50%), as well as other approved varieties (max 50%). The Bianco is 100% varietal Erbaluce vinified.
