Cote de Beaune-Villages

Appellation in the Côte de Beaune area, the southern half of the area Cote d'Or in the Burgundy, It covers only five hectares of vineyards in 16 municipalities in the two departments of Côte d'Or (12) and Saône-et-Loire (4). The municipalities of Beaune, Aloxe-Corton, Pommard and Volnay are excluded from this. Only red wines from are allowed Pinot Noir with shares of Pinot Liébault (Pinot Noir clone) and Pinot gris,

There is also an appellation called Cote de Beaune, However, this should not be confused with the (much larger) area of the Côte de Beaune.
