The red grape variety (also Georgia 12-2-2) is a new breed between Higgins (Yuga x unknown strain) x Georgia 28 (?). They are genes of Vitis rotundifolia
contain. The crossing took place in 1960 by the breeder BO Fry at the Agricultural Experiment Station University of Georgia. The variety is mainly as table grape
used. It is grown in the southern United States in the Gulf States.
