The estate is located in the municipality of Châteauneuf du Pape in the area of the same name on the south Rhone
, It has been in the family for many generations, today it is managed by Jean-Marc Diffonty. Traditionally, a box of Cuvée du Vatican has been sent to Rome since 1959 in honor of a newly elected Pope. The Holy Father always thanks with a blessing and praises the excellent quality of the wine. The vineyards cover a total of 57 hectares of vineyards, of which 22.5 hectares in the area Châteauneuf-du-Pape
on gravel soils interspersed with sand. The vines are around 45 years old on average. The Clos de Papes Rouge is blended from the Grenache Noir, Syrah Mourvèdre and Cinsault varieties, the CdP Blanc from the Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Bourboulenc varieties.
