Dafnes

Appellation (also Daphnes) in the district of Iraklio on the Greek island of Crete near the capital Heraklion. Dafnes is one of the four POP areas of the island; to the east of it are the areas of Archanes and Peza. The vineyards extend over the southern foot of the Psiloritis massif. The red wine is made from the autochthonous Liatiko variety and is vinified dry or sweet.
