The winery is located in the municipality of Bad Dürkheim (Mittelhaardt-Deutsche Weinstraße area) in the German wine-growing region of Pfalz. A vine nursery also belongs to the estate. The owners are Helmut and Ella Darting. The vineyards cover 18 hectares of vineyards in the single vineyard sites Fronhof, Hochbenn, Michelsberg, Nonnengarten and Spielberg (Bad Dürkheim), Bettelhaus, Herrenberg (Ungstein), and Mandelgarten (Wachenheim). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling (40%), Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Huxelrebe, Kanzler, Müller-Thurgau, Ortega, Rieslaner, Sauvignon Bl anc and Scheurebe, as well as with the red wine varieties Cabernet Cubin, Dornfelder, Faberrebe, Blauer Portugieser, Schwarzriesling (Pinot Meunier), Spätburgunder (PinotNoir) and St. Laurent. After a gentle fermentation process, the white wines are mainly developed in a fruity style. The red wines, fermented cool on the skins, are traditionally matured in large wooden barrels. Fine brandies (fruit, marc, yeast), sparkling wines and bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced. The winery is a member of the Forum Pfalz winegrowers' association.
