Dattier Noir

The red grape variety originates from Iran. Synonyms are Asmeh, Hönüsü and Hunisa. The parentage is unknown. It is possibly identical with the Turkish table grape Hönüsü (with synonym Hunisa). It is an all-female grape variety and is therefore dependent on cross-pollination. It is mainly used as table grape. Under the name Hunisa, the variety was a crossing partner in the new varieties Canner Seedless, Christmas Rose and Red Globe. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
