Debine e Bardhë

The white grape variety (also Debin) originates from Albania; the name means "White Debina". The parentage (parenthood) is unknown. Possibly the variety Debine e Zezë (Debine e Zi) is a colour mutation (or vice versa). According to DNA analyses carried out in 2005, there may be genetic links to the two Albanian varieties Debina Kala and Debina Teki, as well as to the Greek variety Debina. It is cultivated in small quantities around the towns of Përmet and Këlcyrë in the southeast of Albania. In 2016, no stocks were recorded (statistics Kym Anderson).
