The winery is located in the municipality of Travo (province of Piacenza) in the Colli Piacentini DOC area in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna. It was founded in 2005 by Giulio Armani. The traditional-style stone building was renovated in two phases from 2006 to 2010 and 2022 to 2023 using local building materials.

The vineyards cover 8.5 hectares of vines; grapes are also purchased from two wineries. The white wine varieties Malvasia di Candia Aromatica, Ortrugo, Marsanne, Sauvignon Bianco (Sauvignon Blanc), Trebbiano Toscano, Pinot Bianco (Pinot Blanc) and Pinot Grigio (Pinot Gris), as well as the red wine varieties Bonarda (Croatina), Pinot Nero (Pinot Noir) and Barbera are cultivated and processed. The vines are trained using the Guyot training system at a height of 70 centimetres. The vines are cultivated according to certified organic viticulture rules. The soil, which is only treated with copper and sulphur, is mown (not ploughed) around six to seven times a year.

All wines undergo spontaneous fermentation with the vineyard's own yeasts without any additives. The white wines are macerated for 6 to 90 days in stainless steel tanks and then matured for several months in the same container. The product range (DOC and IGT are not claimed) includes the white wines "Catavela", "Dinavolino" (Otrugo, Marsanne, Malvasia di Candia Aromatica, Sauvignon and others.), "Dinavolo Bianco" (Malvasia di Candia Aromatica, Ortrugo, Marsanne; 50% matures for 1 year in acacia barrels), "Ciliegia" (Ortrugo) and "Mansano" (Sauvignon), as well as the red wine " Dinavolo Rosso" (Pinot Grigio and Pinot Nero mash-fermented, Barbera from direct pressing).

As a matter of principle, no oenological substances, including sulphur, are added during vinification and the wines are bottled without filtration. Every year, 60,000 to 70,000 bottles of wine are produced, 85% of which are exported to France, Denmark, Germany, Canada, Japan and the USA.
