The winery is located in the municipality of Osterspai (Loreley area) in the German wine-growing region of the Middle Rhine. The family has been growing grapes since 1620. Today, the winery is run by Jens Didinger. The vineyards cover almost four hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Fässerlay, Feuerlay and Mandelstein in the Bopparder Hamm. They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling (80%), Müller-Thurgau and Kerner, as well as with the red wine varieties Spätburgunder and Dornfelder. Natural, environmentally friendly viticulture is practised with, for example, no insecticides and exclusive fertilisation with pomace and compost. The Rieslings are predominantly fermented in stainless steel tanks, cooled with the help of pure yeasts. The Pinot Noir is also matured in barrique.
