The estate is located in the commune of Hohenruppersdorf in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region Weinviertel
, The business, taken over by Johann Diem in 1972, has been run by his son Ewald Diem in the fifth generation of the family since 2008. The vineyards cover ten hectares of vineyards in the vineyards of Breitenlus, Steinberg and Wegscheid. They are planted 60% with the white varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Neuburger, Müller-Thurgau, Roter Muskateller, and 40% with the red varieties Zweigelt, Pinot Noir and Pinot Noir. It is consistently close to nature, environmentally friendly viticulture. Great value is placed on high-quality, physiologically fully ripe grape material. The majority of white wines are traditionally aged in stainless steel tanks with long yeast storage. The rubbed and slightly crushed red wine grapes are fermented in red wine fermentation tanks and then aged in large wooden barrels or some specialties in barriques. As a rule, there is only a single filtration. Count among the premium wines Weinviertel DAC Breitenlus (Grüner Veltliner) and Pinot Noir Exclusive. If the weather is suitable, ice wines are also pressed. The estate is a member of the Matzner Hügel wine-growing community.
