The red grape variety comes from Italy, Synonyms are Bindarella, Dindarella Rizza, Dindarella Veronese, Pelada, Pelara, Pelara Veronese, Quaiara and Quajara. According to in 2010 DNA analysis the Pelara variety is identical. The leading variety Garganega there is a genetic relationship. A direct descendant is the variety Scacco, The medium-ripening vine is resistant to Botrytis, It produces colorful, spicy-aromatic red wines. The variety was once in the region Veneto widespread. It is in the DOC wines valdadige and Valpolicella authorized. In 2010, however, it only occupied seven hectares of vineyards (Kym Anderson ).
