The estate is located in the municipality of Neumarkt (Egna) in the Italian viticulture sector South-Tirol
(Region Trentino-Alto Adige
). It was founded in 1987 by Peter Dipoli, who after training at the Institute in San Michele all'Adige
and had returned to her parents' orchard after five years at the experimental center in Laimburg. The start was made by purchasing 1.2 hectares in the Penon district of the Kurtatsch municipality. After completely replanting the vineyard with Sauvignon Blanc vines, the first harvest took place in 1990. In the first few years, the grapes were processed externally and in 1998 a separate cellar was put into operation. The vineyards cover 4.6 hectares. They are planted with Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The three wines Fihl (Merlot), Iugum (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon) and Voglar (Sauvignon Blanc) are DOC South Tyrol vinified. Around 40,000 bottles of wine are produced annually.
