DOCC

Abbreviation for "Vinuri cu Denumire de Origine Controlata si trepte de Calitate", the former name in Romania for quality wine produced in specified regions of controlled and guaranteed origin, as an upgrade to the DOC (Vin cu Denumire de Origine Controlata) level. They were replaced by DOP with the EU wine market regulation valid from August 2009. However, the old, traditional designations may still be used in addition. See also under quality system.
