The white grape variety comes from Italy. Synonyms are Malfiore, Parlano, Uva delle Vecchie and Uva Dolce. The parentage (parenthood) is unknown. The medium to late ripening vine is almost exclusively cultivated in the province of Perugia in the Umbria region. In 2016, 6 hectares of vineyards were designated with a decreasing trend (Kym Anderson).

In the past, you needed a wealth of encyclopaedias and specialist literature to keep up to date in your vinophile professional life. Today, Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one of my best helpers and can rightly be called the "bible of wine knowledge".
