The winery is located in the commune of Courthézon in the north-east of the appellation Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the Rhône region. It is named after a parcel of land. The estate was founded in 1942 by Etienne Grangeon. Since 1999, it has been run by the siblings Baptiste and Dominique Grangeon, now in the third generation of the family. The vineyards cover 21.5 hectares of vineyards planted with Grenache Noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Roussanne and Bourboulenc. They are cultivated according to the organic guidelines of the ECOCERT organic association. The product range includes wines from the three appellations Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Rhône-Villages and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, as well as Vin de pays and Vin de Tables. The standard Châteauneuf-du-Pape is blended from 90% Grenache Noir (matured in cement tanks) and 10% Syrah (matured in two to three year old barriques). A speciality is the Chateauneuf-du-Pape Renaissance, which is blended from 1.5 hectares of vineyards with 60% Grenache (100 years old), 30% Mourvèdre and 10% Syrah.
