Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe

The estate is located in the commune of Bédarrides in the southeast of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation in the region Rhone, The company, named after an old signal tower on a hill, was founded by Hippolyte Brunier in 1898 and is now managed by the brothers Daniel and Frédéric Brunier in the fourth family generation. The vineyards cover 70 hectares of vineyards on the stony La Crau plain, with the varieties Grenache Noir (65%), Mourvèdre (15%), Syrah (15%), Cinsaut, Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Roussanne and others (5%) are planted. The vines are over 50 years old on average. It becomes natural, environmentally friendly viticulture with, for example, organic fertilization and pest control pheromones operated. The vineyards are not irrigated. Particular emphasis is placed on healthy grapes using selective hand picking. The product range includes white and red Châteauneuf-du-Pape, The first wine matures in traditional wooden barrels for up to 20 months and is made without filtration bottled. The second wine created in 1994 is called "Télégramme". The white wine is partly aged in barriques. The Château de la Roquette, which is also part of the appellation and has over 30 hectares of vineyards, has been owned since 1986.
