The winery is located in the municipality of Bué in the heart of the Sancerre appellation on the upper course of the Loire (central France). The traditional winery has been family-owned since 1740 and is now managed in the eighth generation by Patrick Girault. The vineyards cover 12.5 hectares in the Grand Chemarin, Petit Chemarin and Chêne Marchand sites, divided into 43 plots. They are planted 75% with Sauvignon Blanc and 25% with Pinot Noir. The cultivation is carried out according to natural criteria. The wines are fermented spontaneously at controlled low temperature. The product range includes Sancerre Rouge, Blanc and Rosé. The flagship of the house is the "Sancerre Blanc Les Grandes Genevrieres", which is aged in steel tanks. A total of 90,000 bottles of wine are produced annually, 70% of which are exported.
