Dominé André

The German journalist and wine author André Dominé (*1946) studied literature after graduating from high school. He began writing his first articles for various magazines at the age of 14. In 1981 he moved to France, where he has been living ever since in a winegrowing village at the foot of the Pyrenees. He worked in viticulture for five years to acquire practical knowledge. Since then he has worked as a freelance wine journalist and is the author and editor of numerous wine and gastronomy books. Dominé is the South of France correspondent for various wine and gourmet magazines such as "Der Feinschmecker" and "Vinum". His main work is "Wine" (2013), which has been translated into several languages. Others are "Drunken by Roussillon" (1987), "The Art of Aperitif" (1989), "All about Wine" (2004), "Culinaria Europa" (2004) and "Wine Landscapes of the World" (2005). In 2001 he was awarded the main prize "Prix du Champagne Lanson" (wine journalist competition).
