The white grape variety originates from Spain. Synonyms are Bouni, Gloria, Murciana Blanca and Uva Verde de Alhama. The ancestry (parentage) as well as a possible relationship to the red grape variety Murciana Negra are not known. The vine is used as table grape. In 2010, one hectare was reported, but no more in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
In the past, you needed a wealth of encyclopaedias and specialist literature to keep up to date in your vinophile professional life. Today, Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one of my best helpers and can rightly be called the "bible of wine knowledge".
