Especially popular in Austria popular name for a two-liter wine bottle, in the bulk easier Wine (earlier table wine ) or country wine was bottled. She was especially in rural Gastro establishments or inns like to open bar used. However, this special Austrian bottle shape got a bad image over time. Such a wine became pejorative with "Doppler" and the bottle rather derogatory than " Magnum of the little man "or" Austro-Magnum ". The bottle shape was therefore more and more Austrian wine growers by one liter bottles and the bouteille (0.75 liters) replaced. This is also influenced by the consumption behavior (the amount is too big for small rounds for a complete enjoyment). There was a certain Revivial, as a winemaker from the Weinviertel also bottled premium wines in such bottles and originally called them "top-ler".
