The white grape variety comes from Portugal, Synonyms are Alfrecheiro, Alfrocheiro, Alfrocheiro Branco, Branquinha, Engana Rapazes, Esgana Rapazes, Espadeiro Branco, Fernão Pires de Beco, Malvasia Fina, Padeiro Branco, Talia, Trebiano and Ugni Blanc. Despite apparently suggesting synonyms or morphological Not similarities not with the varieties Fernão Pires or (previously considered to be identical) Trebbiano Toscano (Douradinha) to be confused. According to 2015 DNA analysis is a presumably natural cross between Amaral x Alfrocheiro (two red varieties). However, this is based on only 21 DNA markers (see under molecular Genetics ). No stocks were reported in 2010 (Kym Anderson ); probably because of the later identification.
