Description for a wine in the context of a wine address, which is mostly used in connection with a wine defect and can only be interpreted in context. If it concerns the colour, it describes a dull, pale wine without brilliance and reflections on the surface of the liquid (see also turbidity). Various wine faults cause a "dulling" of the teeth or a "furry" feeling in the mouth, these are for example sulphuric acid firn and UTA (untypical age tone). However, the effect can also occur in wines with a high tannin content; see under astringent.
Using the encyclopaedia is not only time-saving, but also extremely convenient. What's more, the information is always up to date.
