Duranija

The white grape comes from Croatia, Synonyms are Brajdenica, Brajda Vela, Dardanela, Duranija Bijela, Duronija, Martinscica and Supljika. The medium to late ripening vine is very prone to real mildew and Botrytis, It produces rather liquor white wines, mostly with the variety Malvasia Istarska be blended. The endangered variety is in small quantities in Istria-Croatia, and under the name Brajdenica also in Slovenia cultivated. In 2010, however, no stock was reported (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
