Ebnerhof

The winery is located north-east of Bozen, at the entrance to the Eisack valley, in the Italian wine-growing area South-Tirol (Region Trentino-Alto Adige ). It has been family-owned since 1982 and is managed by Urban Plattner. In 1996 the grapes were processed and marketed in-house and in 2005 an in-house cellar was put into operation. The vineyards at 400 to 500 meters above sea level cover three hectares of vineyards. They are planted with the red wine varieties Vernatsch (main variety), Pinot Noir, Malvasia ( Frühroter Veltliner red Frühroter Veltliner ), Merlot and Lagrein, as well as Sauvignon (Sauvignon Blanc).

It will Organic viticulture according to the guidelines of Bioland and certified / controlled by ABCERT. By sowing various grasses and herbs, such as mallow, phacelia, several types of clover and others legumes should preserve the biodiversity in the vineyard and the beneficials be promoted.
