Edelberg

single vineyard in the municipality of Tauberbischofsheim (Tauberfranken area) in the German wine-growing region of Baden. It was reactivated as a vineyard by the municipality in 1934. The varieties Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Blanc, Silvaner, Riesling, Kerner, Scheurebe, Zweigelt, Schwarzriesling and Dornfelder are cultivated. In 1987, an educational wine trail was established where visitors can learn about the specific characteristics of the individual varieties under expert guidance. The south-southeast facing vineyard with a slope of 10 to 40% covers 11 hectares of vines on shell limestone soil.
