Edelkeur

The German Günter Brözel produced the first Botrytis wine in South Africa under this brand name in the 1950s at the Nederburg Winery (Paarl), similar to a Trockenbeerenauslese. The wine, which is still produced today, is made from noble rotten Steen grapes (Chenin Blanc). Like all Botrytis wines it bears the additional designation "Noble Late Harvest" (NLH); see also under Harvest.
