The winery is located in the Bolzano district of Gries in the Italian wine-growing region of South Tyrol (Trentino-South Tyrol). The family has been growing wine since 1880 and the current location has been in existence since 1900. After the Second World War, the business was transformed into a commercial winery. However, since Christine and Toni Egger, the fourth generation of the family, took over in 1987, this has changed again. Since then, except for a few suppliers, only grapes from our own production are processed. Son Peter Egger is responsible for marketing. The red wine varieties Vernatsch and Lagrein are processed to 85%, and the white wine varieties Pinot Blanc, Gewürztraminer and Müller-Thurgau to 15%. The product range includes various wines, most of which are produced as DOC St. Magdalener and Südtiroler.
