Eifel Franz-Josef

The estate is located in the municipality of Trittenheim (Bernkastel area) in the German wine-growing region Moselle, A guest house is connected. It is managed by the fourth generation of families by Franz-Josef Eifel. The vineyards cover almost five hectares of vineyards in the top locations Altärchen and pharmacy (Trittenheim, as well Rosengärtchen (Neumagen). They are mainly planted with Riesling (96%) and some Pinot Blanc (4%). The harvest is always carried out by hand in up to three rounds. After a whole grape pressing, a cool and long fermentation takes place with partly own yeasts, which lasts up to three months with dry wines. The wines are partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in barrels 60% dry and semi-dry, as well as 40% fruity or noble sweet as a selection, dry berry selection or ice wine. As a marketing gimmick, the owner of the bottle label guarantees the quality of the bottle content with his fingerprint, so to speak.
