The white grape variety is an interspecific new variety between Armlong x Malaga. It contains genes from Vitis aestivalis, Vitis labrusca and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in 1902 by the botanist Thomas Volney Munson (1843-1913). The high-yielding variety is cultivated in Kansas as well as in other states in the central southern USA. It produces colourful white wines. In 2016, however, no stock was reported (Kym Anderson).
The Wine lexicon helps me to keep up to date and refresh my knowledge. Thank you for this Lexicon that will never end in terms of topicality! That's what makes it so exciting to come back often.
