The white grape variety is an interspecific new breed between Lady Washington ( Concord
x Allen's Hybrid) x Beta (Carver x Concord). They are genes from Vitis labrusca
. Vitis riparia
and Vitis vinifera
) contain. The crossing of the hybrid
was done in 1925 by the breeder Niels Ebbesen Hansen (1866-1950) in South Dakota. The early ripening, frost hardy vine produces a flowery white wine. It is grown in Quebec (Canada) and as a wine press table grape
as well as the production of grape juice used.
