single vineyard in the municipality of Erbach in the German wine-growing region of Rheingau. The name dates back to the 13th century and is a reminder of the "Markenburne" well between Erbach and Hattenheim. A curious border dispute arose over it between the two municipalities in 1810, which is still visible today. Erbach had the following inscription carved in stone on their side of the well: Marcobrunn Gemeinde Erbach.
