DOCG area for white wines in the Italian region of Piedmont. The vineyards extend over 180 hectares on the Canavese morainic hills on the northern edge of the Po Valley. The wine is made from 100% pure Erbaluce grapes. The spumante must be produced by means of Metodo tradizionale (bottle fermentation) with at least 15 months of yeast ageing.
