Riede (location) in the municipality Langenlois in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region Kamptal, The steep terraced Vineyard is oriented to the southeast. In the north it is protected by a dense pine forest from cold winds. The soil consists of gneiss host rock (Gföhler gneiss) covered with shallow brown earth. The roots have to make their way down through the hard rock. Here are mainly the white wine varieties Green Valtellina. Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling grown.
