One of the most famous ancient wines, the "wine of the Caesars" - the famous Falciano- came from here. The white wine Bianco must contain at least 85% Falanghina. The red wine Rosso (also as Riserva) is made from Aglianico (at least 60%), Piedirosso (max. 40%) as well as other permitted varieties (max. 15%). The red wine Primitivo (also as Riserva or Vecchio) is blended from Primitivo = Tribidrag (max. 85%), as well as in any mixture of the varieties Aglianico, Piedirosso and Barbera (max. 15%). If the grapes come from classified vineyards, Vigna followed by the vineyard name can be indicated on the label.
