Falkenberg

single vineyard in the municipality of Dienheim (Nierstein area) in the German wine-growing region of Rheinhessen. The east-facing vineyards at an altitude of 140 to 190 metres above sea level with a slope of 10 to 25% cover 17 hectares of vineyards. They are especially protected by hedges and trees. The soils consist of large loess beds with a high proportion of clay, which are strongly interspersed with shell limestone, marl, hanging loam and clayey loam. The white wine varieties Riesling, Pinot Gris and Silvaner are cultivated here. The vineyards are owned by the Dr. Becker brothers, the Protestant Church of Hesse and Nassau and Kühling-Gillot, for example.

Other single vineyard sites named Falkenberg exist in the municipalities or growing regions of Alsenz (Nahe), Donnersdorf and Falkenstein (Franconia), Piesport (Moselle) and Traustadt (Franconia).
