Fanny

The white grape variety is an interspecific new breeding between Eger 2 (Villard Blanc) x (Teli Muskotaly x Olimpia). It contains genes from Vitis berlandieri, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in 1970 by the breeder József Csizmazia in Eger in Hungary. The early-maturing, frost-hardy vine is resistant to both powdery mildew and botrytis. It is used as table grape and ornamental vine. No stock was recorded in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
