Synonym (also Farnento) for the grape variety Tinto Cão; see there.

The red grape variety originates from Portugal; the name means "red dog", but the meaning is unknown. Synonyms are Castellana Negra, Farmento, Farnento, Teinta Cam, Tinta Cam, Tinta Cão, Tintilla Castellana and Tinto Cam.
