The German wine and gastronomy journalist, author and wine critic
Wolfgang Faßbender (* 1968), after a few years as a librarian at academic libraries, devoted himself to journalism. Since the early 1990s, he has written, co-authored or edited around 80 books and written about wine and gastronomy for magazines and newspapers. He has authored books such as "The Wines of Alsace (Heyne)," Alsace (Mondo), "Cabernet Sauvignon" (Hawks), "The 400 Best Swiss Winegrowers" (Orell-Füssli) or "The Wines of South Africa" (Hawks) , He contributed several chapters to the standard work "Wine" (initially Könemann).
