Producer description of "Fattoria Eolia"

The winery is located in the municipality of Rovolon (province of Padua) in the Italian region. It was founded in 2009 as a completely new company by Giovanni Zini. The wine cellar has been newly built, partly underground, where the barrique cellar is located. A tasting room is located right next to the winery with a panoramic view over the vineyards. Roberto Baessato is the cellar master, Guido Busatto is the oenologist. The vineyards cover 13 hectares of vines on volcanic soils in the middle of a natural park or within the DOC area Colli Euganei.

The red wine varieties , and , as well as the white wine varieties Moscato Fior d'Arancio) and are cultivated. 85% of the grapes used are home-grown, the rest are purchased white Serprino). Since 2014 the company has been in conversion to .

The product range includes various DOC/DOCG wines from the above mentioned varieties. The premium wines are the red wine Rosso Colli Euganei DOC "IL DRAGONE" (Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, 14 months in ), the white wine Garganega Colli Euganei DOC "RUBINARA" (Garganega, slightly withered for one month in cassettes, sometimes nine months in ) and the sparkling wine Moscato Spumante DOCG Moscato Fior d'Arancio "FIORE DEL VENTO". Every year 50,000 bottles of wine are produced; 20% are exported to and the .
