Old area measure of regionally very different size. For example, in Prussia it was 0.225 hectares and in Saxony 0.553 hectares. It was used to designate an area that could be worked with a team within a certain period of time (half day or day). In terms of meaning and size, the old area measures of yoke and acre, as well as the Anglo-American linguistically related acre, are quite similar. See also under area measures and hollow measures.
