The red grape variety originates from Spain. Synonyms are Findendo, Findento and Fintindo. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2017, it comes from a presumably natural cross between Breval Negro x unknown partner. It is mainly used as table grape. In Argentina, the variety is mainly cultivated in the San Juan region. In 2016, a total of 185 hectares of vineyards were reported here (Kym Anderson statistics).
