Flot Rouge

The red grape variety (also Seibel 1020, Roi des Hybrides) is an interspecific new breed between Jaeger 70 ( Munson ) x Aramon Noir, They are genes from Vitis aestivalis. Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera contain. The crossing of the hybrid was done by the French breeder Albert Seibel (1844-1936). The variety was a cross partner in new breeding Colobel, The early ripening variety is resistant to the real and the wrong mildew, It produces colorful, rather low-acid red wines. The variety was quite common in France until the 1960s and occupied 3,500 hectares of vineyards. Due to the EU hybrid ban, there are only few stocks. In 2010, however, no stocks were shown (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
