Flying winemakers

An end of the 1980s by an English wine merchant created term in the wine world for consultant, This dedicated Australian winery technician for French Cooperatives to help with the vintage and especially at the winemaking help. During the reading season in northern Europe, the specialists in the southern hemisphere are not very busy and that's just what's needed. This was very successful and the "flying winemakers", mostly out Australia come or have been trained there, have become an international concept. This Australian influence has also affected the techniques and wine styles in many wine growing regions around the world. A well-known representative is the Australian Peter Bright, who in Portugal the winery Bright Brothers operates and "incidentally" operates in many countries in Europe, USA, South America and Australia. Others are Dr. med. Richard Smart (* 1945) and also as wine critic known Kym Milne (* 1965). But also European oenologists like the Frenchman Michel Rolland (* 1947) have become known worldwide.
