Formosa

The red grape variety is a new breed between Frankenthal ( Schiava Grossa x Delizia di Vaprio, Synonyms are IP 245 and Pirovano 245. The crossing took place in 1926 at the research center in Rome by the breeder Alberto Pirovano (1884-1973). It is called Kelter- and table grape used. In 2010, however, no stock was reported (Kym Anderson ).

Formosa is also synonymous with the two grape varieties Diagalves and Golden Queen,
