The winery is located in the municipality Senheim (area Burg Cochem) in the German wine-growing region Moselle
, It was founded in 2001 by Stefanie Vornhecke, who also works as a winemaker. Two apartments are connected. The vineyards cover two hectares of vineyards mainly in the individual layers Lay and fortune teller (Senheim), which are planted with Riesling and Pinot Noir. Quality criteria in the vineyard are low yields, as well as a late and selective hand picking of the grapes. The wines are matured with long yeast storage with the goal of longevity. The product range includes various Rieslings from dry to sweet, in the lines "gray slate" (Gutsrieslinge in different flavors), Prädikats- and layer wines (Cabinet, Spätlese, Auslese), as well as "Sternstunden for wine lovers" (various constellation names such. Cassiopeia) are vinified. Furthermore, a dry red wine, bottle fermented sect and a Riesling pomace brandy are produced. Every year around 10,000 bottles of wine are produced.
